2012 : 4 / 5 stars
there are so many doomsday-ish sorta flicks,
like The Day After Tomorrow & Doomsday,
which fail to create much of an impression.
but i must say 2012 definitely did...
watching this 2hour + show,
with bloody amazing digital effects,
really sets you thinking...
come 21st December 2012...
will the world really come to an end,
like it is according to the Book of Genesis?

how will we prepare for this day?
is there even a need for preparation?
i imagined, if it were true...
i won't even try running,
for if this is what God has planned for us,
then that's the plan.

overall,
it's a must watch..
although i felt a lil' weird after the movie...
watch it, and you'll know what i mean.

SAW IV & This Is It

SAW IV: 3 / 5 stars
to me, none of the sequels after no. 3, quite matched up to the first few.
i mean it keeps getting worse, and more boring.
perhaps it's because i'm immune to the level of grossness.
but anyways,
don't waste your time on Jigsaw,
cos the box office is definitely offering better ones!

it was the bomb!
the missing 0.5 star, goes to the lack of variety of footages?
they seem to come from the same day of rehearsals, noticed that fro MJ's costumes, or rather his daily attire.
but man! i was feeling the music, right down to my bones baby!
i was grooving to every beat, and the audience were clappin' and all,
it was bloody good alright!
i'd watch it again !

500 Days of Summer

500 Days of Summer : 3 / 5 stars

i did go in the cinema, thinking we were about to watch an artsy romantic comedy of sorts.
and on came the narrator, warning that it isn't a love story we were about to watch..
uhh okie, a bit too late to get a refund, right?

anyhoos, i thought the leads bear a striking resemblance to Heath Ledger and Katy Perry !
anyways, i thought this movie was alright, not your typical type of love story, duh.
i guess i'm lucky to say that boo & i are definitely like Tom, the male character,
who believes in true love :)
while Summer... is just one psycho, who in my opinion, cheated Tom of his feelings,
even though she told him she wasn't into commitments... turned out she got married shortly after.
i really liked Tom's quirky way of telling his side of the story though.
cute how he ended up meeting this girl named, Autumn.
so are you more of a Tom or Summer person?

didn't blow me away,

The Ugly Truth about.... men?

i really look forward to my weekends,
for it's the only time of the week i allow myself to just, chill.
i get to spend time with him, watch a movie or two (complete with popcorn, duh!) or just laze around, i don't like roaming the malls aimlessly no more.
it's a mad rush this coming two weeks,
for i've got 3 deadlines to meet.
say a total of 10,000 word limit.

and,
finally, the BKK trip WILL eventually take place!
kudos to my sponsors :)
and of course alicia for making all necessary arrangements!
for now, i will work my butt off and do my school work,
just so i know i can thoroughly enjoy my holidays.
the exam schedule is out,
and yeah i am getting the jitters already.
like give me a break.
best part is,
come Monday, Hari Raya Puasa's Public Holiday,
we're required to go back to school for a submission.
like wtf seriously.

i really like Katherine Heigl !
no i do not watch Grey's Anatomy,
but she was great in Knocked Up!
however, this romantic comedy's kinda.. expected.
i wasn't blown away, it was ya know,
just alright.
you should catch it anyways.

but i really liked the idea of highly intelligent four legged creatures :)
i thought the twist was really good, so unexpected !
way too cute! do-little inspired. haha

The Time Traveler's Wife

The Time Traveler's Wife : 2.5 / 5 stars

twenty minutes into the movie,
i thought to myself "okie, it will get more interesting, perhaps in the next ten minutes".
ten minutes passed,
and Eric Bana aka Henry,
was still travelling back and forth time,
again... and again (ps: naked).
initially it was confusing,
but its a 110minutes show,
you'll get the gist of it eventually.

unfortunately,
this one was a huge disappointment,
i'm having second thoughts on loaning the novel.
but ah,
don't waste your time on this time traveller.

The Proposal & Bruno

The Proposal : 3.5 / 5 stars
oh oh! i really enjoyed this one.
although the chemistry & romance developed wayyy to fast,
made it kinda unrealistic, i thought what the two protagonists managed to spark up were pretty good!
but all in all, you gotta check this one out if you're a sucker for romantic comedies!
not to mention Sandra Bullock's Prada Bowler, Hermes Birkin, Louis Vuitton(s) Keepal & Christian Louboutin !!

Bruno : 2 / 5 stars
urgh i really don't know what to say..
i didn't catch Borat, but according to boo, Bruno's not matching up.
i pretty much wasn't expecting THAT much explicit content,
such as.. a swinging (male) genital ... i shan't go on.
i had a coupla good laughs with this one,
because it was so dumb!
nay for this one.

it's amazing what clothes and bags can do to lift me up.
that aside, my worry, is gone !
unfortunately, not exactly for good.
but i'll take it a step at a time :)

boyfriend & i decided to hit town,
made an unexpected, impulse purchase (ha! what's new?).
which totally was a result of punishing the boyfriend for being a badass.
and hey, no one's complaining !

G.I Joe: The Rise of the Cobra - 4 / 5 stars

G.I Joe was da bomb !
boo and i really didn't expect it.
action was incredible, so were Channing Tatum's abs ;)
overall, great storyline & twist!
not just another action flick, with just, well action.
i love how Marlon Wayans (think, White Chick !) adds a comedic element into such an intense show!
i was literally at the edge of my seat most of the time!
2 thumbs up!

can't remember when was the last time i had 12hours of sleep.

with the finance test drawing closer,
anxiety is gradually building up.
at the back of my head i know i can do this,
but why is it i still think that i can't ?
complexity overload.

full day in school today really wore me out.
HRD presentation tomorrow!
i hope we'll score a distinction :)

i teared at the first part of the flick,
even without words,
it says so much.
i thought this animation was pretty good,
although kids would probably not be able to understand what its all about.

who needs A-listers when you've got the cast from this flick !
although it wasn't mad-over-the-top-ly funny,
i enjoyed it nonetheless!
the baby's damn cute la.

been waiting to catch this since watching the trailer months back!
great storyline and plot.
ali larter is soo good being psycho.
and beyonce, she's got the chops for acting !
she was good in Dreamgirls too.
although the main parts were showed in the trailer,
i still enjoyed this one.

Transformers 2 & Ice Age 3

Transformers : Revenge of The Fallen - 3/5 stars
boo's a huge fan, and because it was my birthday,
we caught this in Gold Class! (more on that in another post)
the film was kinda draggy i thought, 2 1/2 hours of fighting chucks of steel.
and Megan Fox? she's only in the flick cos she's a pretty face.
seriously now, do you even think she had any major scenes here?
overall, the prequel was wayyy better.

Ice Age 3 : Dawn of The Dinosaurs - 4/5 stars
was really lookin forward to this one,
and indeed, it didn't disappoint!
i really enjoyed this flick.
it's so funny how the two squirrels kept fighting for that one nut!
go catch this i say!
