boo's birthday peeks

pictures from boo's birthday =)

we went to CHIJMES Carnivore for dinner,
i reckon the Vivo city branch is better if you like it indoors,
if you prefer outdoors, CHIJMES would be perfect.

i got boo Oakley's limited edition: Ducati Monster Dog!
enjoy the pictures =)

Because you bring out the best in me...

Being the skeptic I was,
Falling in love was just hard to do.
I thought every guy was just after one single thing,
He obviously proved me wrong.

The little chats we had,
The few hellos we exchanged.
And that was it.
I had this colossal crush on him back in my early teens.
But, gradually, I moved on,
I blew it off like any other infatuation I had for others.

We started talking again, when it was history between him and his ex.
I didn’t know him too well then.
Slowly, I knew him further.
The more I knew, the harder I fell.

Almost like how I anticipated it to be,
We became an item.
It didn't feel right initially.
Though he was a total sweetheart,
Things didn’t seem to fall into place the way I wanted it to.
Soon, we broke it off.

Memories lingered,
I thought this must be feelings being triggered.
Of course, that wasn’t love.
Not yet.
It was then a mutual decision to give it another try.
And the rest they say,
Is history.

Time flies,
We’ve been together for a year and a half.
And we’re very much in love.
He makes me believe in myself,
He lifts me up, like no other.
Mark Matthew Njo, no one else.

Next;
yet another great Nicholas Cage movie,
right after his last, Ghost Rider.
great plot, good twist.
plot revolves around protagonist - Cage, manipulating his powers to save Biel.
my ratings: 4 / 5 popcorns!! you just gotta catch it!

Pirates of the Carribean : At World's End;
ahhh who can resist depp.
alot better than The Dead Man's Chest.
this one's a tad draggy i thought.
2hours and 48mins.
love the humour.
my ratings: 3.5 outta 5 popcorns!

and so,
it's every girl's favourite time of the year,
the Great Singapore Sale.
brings out the uglynot-so-nice side of Singaporeans.
you know what i mean - kiasu-ism =)
it's stupid how girls can queue for hours just to get hold of bargains.

i hate it when i spot something during the sale,
which i've purchased not too long ago,
now on sale at >50%.
i just hate it!
meanwhile,
it's yet another good reason for me not to save. =\

events coming up for my month of June?
6th June: Mumsie's Birthday
23rd June: Hewlett Packard's Family Day @ The Singapore Zoological Gardens
31st June: Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium

it's a cloudy collection...

i've always been into clouds,
but it's only lately that i've been takin photos of it.

speaking of which,
i almost got knocked down a few seconds after picture: Cloud no. 3
that was a close call.

Graduation Day 23.05.07

Congratualations to all TP Graduates 2007!

and so,
the day finally arrived.
it felt surreal.
i was nervous, my palms were sweaty, my heart was racing.
it's hard to believe 3 years just whizzed by,
in a blink of an eye.sacrifices were made, goals were set.
i learnt the true meaning of perseverance..

i made some really good friends along the way,
ones worth keeping, and loads not.
it's that buncha of them, i'll never forget.

our pool times,
our movie trips,
our chalet days,
our makan hours,
our muggin periods,
our tutorial lessons,
our nonsensical jokes,
our zhao-class runaways,
our non-stop-bitching sessions,
our sleeping-during-lecture occasions.
our makin-fun-of-random-people acts,

i couldn't help but think,
is this the day we part and never meet again?
go our separate ways?
is this where our friendship ends?
i sure hope not.

Graduation Day yesterday was great!
was nice meeting my fellow mates after...what 6-7 months?
not so much of catching up, because we were all frantically trying to take pictures!
boo to all whom didn't attend grad ceremony !
popo, gonggong & boyfriend came for the ceremony =)
(baby, thanks for coming even though you were sick and all...i hope you'll get well soon!)
was so nervous while going up on stage to receive my long-awaited diploma!
anyways, it was over before i knew it.
out to the foyer where we grabbed anyone and everyone for photo taking =)
was a great Graduation day indeed =)

after which, went for dinner at Taka's Seoul Garden
for dinner with shirley, wesley(haha right choy?), aaron, clarence and alvi =)
loadsa fun!
we should do it again some time soon!

alrighty, pictures from baby's birthday and grad day right up in my next post!

tomorrow's Graduation Day!
ahh finally...after 3 years people!
many a time i thought i wouldn't even make it thru' year 2.
thanks to all the help i've gotten along the way.
my grandparents and boyfriend will be there! =)

i have officially a month to go, before leaving HP.
our quarterly team building will be on the 29th of June.
colleagues are asking me to extend by a week,
just so i can go for the team building.
but if i do, there goes a week break before school starts...
bahh.

yesterday at work,
was pretty chaotic.
i did what i was instructed to,
not knowing that it would cause errors to other files.
this freak made a big hoo-ha,
totally stressing me out.
i definately could have solved it faster,
if you weren't chi-chi-cha-cha beside me!
geez.

at Fig & Olive - Vivocity (farewell lunch for Reb n Janice)

it was an unpleasant experience at Fig & Olive,
here's why:

Dear Sir/Mdm/Management,

I reserved a place for about 15 last week as this was meant to be a good farewell treat for a few of my colleagues.
My colleagues and I were dining in at Fig & Olive - Vivocity earlier this afternoon. And unfortunately it wasn't a pleasant experience for us. I've heard rave reviews about Fig & Olive from my friends, thus I thought this would be a great place for us to dine at.
What we experienced was totally unacceptable.

I hope that your management would do something about this matter, otherwise, you'll lose your customers, like how you just lost us. We made our orders, and pretty soon, our food was served; with exception of 3 particular ones. We then asked the waitress to see if they left any orders out, she then came back and told us that they did not have any more chicken left because the delivery man hasn't arrived. We were appalled at the reason she gave us! If you knew you couldn't serve us a certain dish we ordered, why not inform us instead of making us wait for so long? If we hadn't asked your staff, I bet we would have been there all day. Your staff has no initiative at all. Not only was one of the waitress really rude, your manager wasn't too tactful while handling our requests either.

As we had to rush back for a meeting, three of my colleagues had to cancel their orders, and went without lunch for the day. This experience has caused me a certain amount of unhappiness, as I was the one who recommended for us to dine at Fig & Olive. I certainly hope you will do something about this.

Thank you.

Regards,
An Unsatisfied Customer

a dreadful thursday...

Funny encounter at Subway PS:

bhav and i were sitting down, waiting for the Queen's arrival.
for some reason, the place was really packed.
the couple beside us left, so we stretched our hands out,
wanting to pull the other table towards us,
but the JC kids came along and decided they wanted it too.
so we reluctantly compromised.

2mins later,
the JC kids moved to another table,
and they needed another chair,
so one of them asked this guy if he could have the chair,
of which his bag was seated on..

jc boy asked politely: "Sorry, can I have this chair?"
selfish guy replied: "Then where am I gonna put my bag??"
selfish guy's dumbass girlfriend: "Yeah loh"
jc boy's friend asked: "what did he say?"
jc boy replied in a sarcastically-mocking tone: "oh he said his bag needs a seat."
everyone else had a "HUH-WTF??" look.
how dumb selfish can Singaporeans get.
i bet he wouldn't have replied the way he did,
if a caucasian man wanted the chair instead.

anyways, after trying to fight for seats and all,
the Queen finally arrived.
we headed to Long John Silver's for dinner.
after going thru all that commotion at Subway. haa.
by the way, the Queen is Xia.
we had fun yeah girls!
bhav getting high and all!
xia, ler jun and myself will be attending the same course at the same uni!
keeping my fingers crossed that we'll be classmates! =)

i'll be meeting the rest for Midsummer's play later tonight,
a pity Sarah can't make it =(
ah well.

work has been... rather stressful.
i'm not too good when it comes to stress management.
cos stress either leads to a mind block or break down.
not good not good.

2 more days, to your 26th honey =)

Monday, May 14, 2007

i didn't manage to do much the past weekend,
but nonetheless, i had loadsa fun!
First of all, Happy (belated) Mother's Day Mummy!
Hope you like the gift =)

baby wants to catch 28Weeks Later, and since i haven't seen the prequel...
managed to get 28Days Later's vcd!
here's what happened, twice.
me: "Auntie, do you have 28Days Later on DVD or VCD?"
Auntie: "that one ah, still showing in the see-ni-mah"
me: "no... i want DAYS not WEEKS.."
Auntie: -blank look-
me: -walks out of shop-
and the second encounter was almost similar.
boo was just like: "that's why i hate to visit those cheena vcd shops!"
like i always say, oh wells.

fun thing was...
we were playing around with my cam,
and experimenting the shutter mode, and here's what we got!
